A late Georgian gold foil-back topaz necklace. Designed as a circular and oval-shape foil-back topaz cluster within a kite-shape cannetille surround, suspended from a series of similarly-set floral clusters and kite-shape spacers, to the fancy-link swag back-chain. Drop detachable. Length of drop 6.1cms. Length of necklace 40.5cms. Weight 49.2gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Large areas of discolouration to some of the surrounds.
- Drop has had a fitting removed from the back, most probable a brooch fitting.
- Some replacement stones probable.
- Some of the links between the clusters are unreliable and would benefit from attention to strengthen.
- The drop is detachable.
- Not all stones have been tested.
- Topaz are foil-backed.
- Topaz in good condition, with minor scratches.
- Secured by a push-piece clasp, of similar cluster design, in good working order.
