A pair of mid Victorian gold garnet ear pendants. Each designed as a fancy-shape foil back garnet cabochon, atop a textured panel with scrolling foliate engraved serpent scalloped surround and spacer, detachable to the similarly designed surmount. Length 7.3cms. Weight 15gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair to good. Few surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear.
- Central tapered mid-section with small central hole suggesting a small garnet is deficient to both earrings.
- Long drop is detachable, length of surmount section 2cms (including hooks).
- One fitting slightly bent, the other repaired to one end with small plate section and soft solder visible.
- Jeweller-type scratch marks to the back of the surmounts.
- Garnets are foil-back and appear a medium red hue.
- Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.
- Hinged hook fittings for pierced ears.
