Condition Report

A late Victorian gold, banded agate and enamel pendant. The circular banded agate cabochon with blue enamel and claw mount and cannetille surrounds, suspending a similarly-designed fringe. May be worn as a brooch. Length 6.6cms. Weight 24.3gms. With fitted case.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Minor areas of discolouration to the reverse.
  • Damage and wear to the blue enamel.
  • Evidence of re-enamelling.
  • Enameling on drops is in a poorer condition than the principal surround.
  • Agates are of varying colour, all with a white band visible.
  • Agates, brownish-yellow, brownish-red and black.
  • Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.

  • Pendant surmount folds back so the piece may be worn as a brooch.
  • With a brown leather fitted case.
