Condition Report

A late Victorian 9ct gold cased scent bottle. Designed as a cylindrical case, with domed, hinged lid, engraved with acanthus leaves and a ribbon-shape cartouche engraved '1873-1923' and opening to reveal an inner glass vial with glass stopper. Hallmark for Birmingham, 1899. Length 4.8cms. Weight 21.2gms.

    The overall condition of this lot is fair, with surface scratches, dints and marks to the gold in keeping with age and wear. The glass stopper is in good condition. The inner vial when opened is empty but still has a perfumed scent.
