A late 19th century gold split pearl and turquoise bar brooch with unassociated swallow safety pin. The brooch of marquise shape, the central section set with alternating turquoise and split pearls, to the rope twist surround and beaded outer edge, suspending a safety chain with swallow safety pin. Hallmark for Birmingham, 1899. Length 4.8cms. Weight 6.6gms.
