Condition Report

A pair of mid 20th century synthetic sapphire and diamond earrings. Each designed as an oval-shape synthetic sapphire and circular-cut diamond stylised bow, with curved and tapered bar side. Estimated total diamond weight 0.80ct. Austrian marks. Length 2cms. Weight 7.9gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Diamonds bright an d mostly well matched.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Three diamonds chipped, two with large surface reaching inclusions.
  • Sapphires untested for natural or synthetic origin, believed synthetic.
  • Synthetic sapphires are a deep medium very slightly violetish blue hue.
  • Stamped 750. Maker's mark FG or EG.
  • Screw back fittings for non-pierced ears.
