Condition Report

An Edwardian silver mounted cut-glass biscuit barrel, the squat pear shape body cut with diamond and star pattern panels, having a plain silver collar and swing handle decorated with foliate and lobed motifs, the removable flat silver lid with ivory finial. Hallmarked Cooper Brothers & Sons Ltd., Sheffield 1906. Height including finial measures 6 1/4 inches (16 cm).

Purchasing information
    Appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying general wear, surface marks and scratches. Some tarnishing to the silver mounts. Hinges on swing handle in good working order. A couple of minor dints, a small gouge and a few further nicks to silver rim. Some small chips and edge nibbles to the glass and some heavier scratches and contact marks to the underside. The lid is a good fit. Some rubbing and partial distortion to hallmarks and maker's marks. Corresponding part hallmarks to lid and handle.
