An early George III silver tea caddy, the inverted pear form with wrythen embossing interspaced with floral trails. Hallmarked John Muns, London 1764. Height measuring 5 1/4 inches (13.5 cm), weight 7.3 ozt (228 grams).

The lot displays general scratches, mark, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. A number of dents across the body. Cartouche vacant. A little rubbing with loss of definition. Hallmarks a little worn but legible, lion passant only to the cover.
