An early 18th century clasp. Of oval outline, the scalloped edge to the faceted rock crystal panel with woven hair and decorative gold-tone thread beneath, to the engraved monograms on the reverse. Length 2.4cms. Weight 6.6gms.

Purchasing information-
The condition of this lot is fair. The decorative panel beneath the rock crystal has some loose elements and there is some dust or corrosion around the woven hair. The crystal is lightly chipped. To the reverse are four engraved monograms 'RW, FW, EW, IW'. The reverse also has part of a push-piece clasp and part of a buckle, the former may have been later added. Condition reports are provided as a guide only and we recommend you inspect each lot in order to satisfy yourself as to their condition.
