Condition Report

A George IV paste and hair mourning brooch. Of navette shape, the paste surround with engraved edge to the central glazed woven hair panel and personal memorial inscription to the reverse. Pin AF. Length 4.5cms. Weight 19.3gms.

Purchasing information
    The condition of this lot is fair. The pin has become detached from the reverse of the brooch. There is some discolouration and marking to the reverse of the pastes, which have a closed setting. The inscription reads 'Cath. Bancroft Ob 18 Dec 1821, At 22'. There is general scratching and wear to the metal and glass. Condition reports are provided as a guide only and we recommend you inspect each lot in order to satisfy yourself as to their condition.
