Condition Report
A Victorian novelty natural pearl and gem-set fly. The natural cream and gold pearl body, with circular-shape ruby eyes and old-cut diamond wings, suspended from a later bar. With report 5776-4035 from GCS, dated 16th December 2015, stating natural saltwater. Brooch with hallmarks for Birmingham, 1916. Length of bar 3.5cms. Total weight 3.6gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
- Some areas of discolouration to replacement jump ring.
- Chain and brooch later to the fly.
- The lot appears to have been put together from early 20th century components, some replacement gemstones.
- Diamonds fairly well matched.
- Diamonds fairly bright.
- Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
- The rubies are in good condition and well matched.
- Very minor scratches and blemishes to the pearls.
