Condition Report

An Edwardian 18ct gold ruby and diamond ring. Of marquise-shape outline, the vari-shape ruby line, with diamond point surround and scrolling sides. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1906. Ring size M. Weight 3gms.

  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Some possible replacement gems.
  • Band resized, some wear to the hallmarks.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Most diamond points are rough.
  • Rubies are a fairly well matched deep medium to deep slightly purplish red hue, with slight variation in tone and saturation.
