A 1930s Art Deco diamond necklace. The pear-shape diamond, suspended within a pear-shape and single-cut diamond pierced geometric surround, to the vari-cut diamond tapered surmount and sides and integral trace-link chain. Estimated total diamond weight 2cts, principal diamond estimated weight 0.85ct, G-H colour, P1 clarity. Length 40cms. Weight 6.5gms. With fitted Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co. case.

Purchasing information- Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/ wear and slight discolouration in keeping with general age and wear.
- Principal diamond has chips toward the girdle at the bottom curve of the pear shape, to the crown and pavillion, otherwise few, very small, scattered inclusions.
- Diamonds bright and mostly well matched, the larger non-principal pear-shape and few of the smaller diamonds appear slightly tinted.
- Individual size and setting of most non-principal diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
- Length stated is the length of the chain and diamond sides.
- Length of drop 4.3cms.
- Case generally good, typical slight discolouration and fading.
- Gilt script lettering to front of case 'Joyce, Dec:21st 1934', with the year underlined.
