Condition Report

An early 20th century 15ct gold diamond horse and carriage brooch. Designed as a rose-cut diamond and red gem galloping horse, pulling a similarly-set racing carriage, along a knife-edge bar. One diamond deficient. Length 4.5cms. Weight 5.3gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • One diamond deficient at the horses mouth, some attention required to setting.
  • Horse with a red gem cabochon eye and carriage wheel set with red gem faceted highlight.
  • Some possible replacement stones.
  • Knife-edge bar is slightly uneven.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
