A late Victorian gold gem-set brooch. The circular-shape greyish-blue gem collet, within an oval-shape garnet and circular-shape greyish-blue gem double surround, to the raised motif border and lock of hair reverse. AF. Diameter 3.1cms. Weight 9.8gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition poor. Scratches, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Areas of the of the border are worn.
- Part of the gem-set surround is bent out of shape.
- Clear panel on the reverse of brooch needs repair.
- Pin does not close.
- Garnets medium redish-purple, fairly well saturated, with good clarity.
- Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
