Condition Report
A mid 20th century Burma ruby and diamond cluster ring. The oval-shape Burma ruby, with circular-cut diamond and calibre-cut ruby scalloped surrounds, to the rose-cut diamond shoulders. With report 5777-9034, dated 3rd March 2017, from GCS, stating the principal ruby is Burma, no heat, estimated weight 1.50cts. Estimated total diamond weight 0.80ct. Ring size M1/2. Weight 4.6gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition good to fair. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Principal gem and collet mount likely replacement, surround appears rough and slightly uneven.
- Ruby collet with slight excess metalwork to one side, not completely smooth.

- Diamonds bright and well matched.
- Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
- Diamonds with mostly small, scattered inclusions, few surface reaching.
- Principal ruby is a deep medium, slightly purplish red hue. Some eye-visible, reflective inclusions.
- Principal ruby with small nicks and minor abrasion to facet edges.
- Rubies to the surround are well matched deep medium red hue. Some non-principal rubies with possible chips, some slight gaps to the setting.
- Length of ring head 1.7cms.
