Condition Report

A late Victorian gold, Ceylon sapphire and diamond ring. The oval-shape sapphire, with rose-cut diamond surround and engraved graduated hearts shoulders. Verbal from GCS, states Ceylon (Sri Lanka), no heat. Ring size O. Weight 7gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good. Some surface scratches and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Sapphire does NOT come with a paper certificate/report, only a verbal from GCS.
  • Diamonds relatively bright and well matched.
  • Cut, size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate size, colour or clarity assessment.

  • Sapphire appears a fairly bright, medium very slightly purplish blue hue. Typical inclusions including small crystals and a partially healed fingerprint.
  • Estimated dimensions of sapphire 8.2 by 6.6 by 4.7mms.
  • Length of ring head 1.2cms.
  • Engraving remains crisp.
