Condition Report

Three gold and gem-set brooches. Each of floral or foliate design, to include an early 20th century 15ct gold ruby bar brooch, a 9ct gold amethyst brooch, together with a 9ct bi-colour gold brooch. Hallmarks for 15ct and 9ct gold. Total weight 9.5gms.

  • Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • 15ct gold brooch with replacement base metal back pin.
  • Clasps operate well.
  • Hallmarks including Chester, 1912; Birmingham, 1966 and London, 1987.
  • Ruby medium red, with fair clarity and typical inclusions.
  • Stones in good condition, with minor abrasion and nibbles to the facet edges.
