Condition Report

An early 20th century gold split pearl hinged bangle. The split-pearl horseshoe with seed pearl centre and textured foliate sides, hinged to a plain reverse. AF. Inner diameter 6.1cms. Weight 7.1gms.

  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.

  • One split pearl deficient.

  • Bangle is bent near the clasp.

  • A localised patch of heavy discolouration near the clasp.

  • Seed and split pearls vary in appearance with silvery grey white and off white colours and fair to muted lustre.

  • Seed and split pearls in good to fair condition with minor abrasions.
