Condition Report

A late 19th century gold and garnet memorial brooch. Of circular outline, with central design of three oval-shape garnets with leaf detail beneath to the arranged hair memorial panel on the reverse. Diameter 3.4cms. Weight 13.6gms.

Purchasing information
    Overall fair to good condition, with moderate surface scratches and tarnishing throughout. The garnets show some very minor abrasion to some of the facet edges. There are areas on the brooch where the higher carat plating has rubbed away. Solder can be seen to the panel at the base of the hinge and clasp. There are some minor nicks to the edge of the glass reverse panel. There is a safety chain attached.
