Condition Report
A George III gold, enamel, seed pearl and hair memorial brooch. Of navette shape, the black enamel border surrounding a sepia hand painted panel, glazed and depicting a grieving figure by a broken pillar, a winged angel above, and the words, 'Sorrowful Remembrance Of a Near Relation', engraved to the reverse with a glazed woven hair panel. Length 4.4cms. Weight 9.5gms.

The condition of this lot is fair, with general signs of age visible. There is some light scratching to the enamel. The scene below the glass has applied metal elements, some of which have become detached and is loose beneath the glass.
