Description

Condition Report

An early Victorian 18ct gold and enamel memorial ring. Designed as six adjoining rectangular panels, with foliate engraved surround, the panels reading in black enamel relief. 'In Memory Of', the final panel with a monogram 'MAR' and an inner inscription. Hallmark for London, 1854. Ring size M. Weight 5.7gms.

Purchasing information
    The condition of this lot is fair to poor, with scratches and dints to the gold in keeping with age and wear. There is significant loss to the enamel detail surrounding the lettering, with some panels having no remaining enamel. Inner inscription reads 'Mary Ann Rich, Obt 19th Sept 1854, at 46'.
