Condition Report

A late Georgian 9ct gold split pearl and enamel memorial ring. The circular domed glass covering a panel of hair with applied monogram over it, to the split pearl and blue enamel surround and tapered band with personal inscription to the reverse. Ring size I. Weight 4.4gms.

Purchasing information
    The condition of this lot is fair, with surface scratches and marks to the surface in keeping with age and wear. The glass has light scratches and scuffs. Evidence of repair to the inner band, which has had a panel of metal inserted to it, a line is also visible to the back of the band exterior. The inscription to the reverse reads 'J Johnston of Sands died 21st Sept 1786 aged 76. Eliz Cochran died 25th April 1784 Aged 49'.
