An early 20th century 9ct gold gem-set butterfly clip. With cushion-shape ruby and pearl body, red gem eyes and ruby, sapphire and split pearl hinged wings. Length 2.9cms. Weight 3.3gms. Pearl untested.

Purchasing information- Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
- Clips in good working order, with evidence of a repair work/replacement.
- Ruby medium purplish red, fairly well saturated, with good to fair clarity and typical inclusions.
- Sapphire medium blue, fairly well saturated, with good to fair clarity and typical inclusions.
- Stones in good to fair condition, some with chips and moderate abrasion, visible to aided eye.
- Split pearl untested for the natural colour origin.
- Cultured pearl irregular shape, with minor to moderate damage to the nacre.
- Stamped 9ct.
