Condition Report

A mid Victorian 12ct gold garnet and seed pearl three-stone ring. The oval-shape garnet line, with seed pearl double spacers. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1869. Ring size P1/2. Weight 1.8gms.

  • Overall condition fair. Some surface scratches/wear and discolouration in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Some claws to garnet setting worn/deficient, in need of attention. Some stones possibly replacements.
  • Garnet medium purplish red, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Garnets in good to fair condition with minor to moderate abrasion and nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.

  • Seed pearl white, with greyish pearly lustre. Minor to moderate damage and blemish to the surface.
  • Possible some seed pearl replacements.
