An early 20th century gold, opal and demantoid garnet necklace. The graduated oval opal cabochon fringe, suspended from demantoid garnet highlight knife-edge bars, to circular opal cabochon surmounts, knife-edge bar spacers and trace-link back-chain. Length 39cms. Weight 15.4gms. With case.

Purchasing information- Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Some replacement gems.
- Mounts to the demantoid garnets show wear.
- Possible replacement components.
- Demantoid garnets are fairly well matched with a moderately yellowy green hue, variation in tone and saturation.
- Minor to moderate abrasion.
- Opals are fairly well matched with a pale milky body colour and good play of colour, varied hues.
- Two opals cracked.
- Principal opal with yellow body colour towards the edge of the cabochon.
- Principal drop with hook to reverse.
