A late Victorian banded agate, enamel and pearl mourning brooch. The oval shape brooch with oval cabochon banded agate, set with a central split pearl, with rope-twist surround and Greek key and palm leaf surround in white and black enamel and a glazed woven hair panel to the reverse. Length 4.3cms. Weight 14gms.

Purchasing information-
The condition of this lot is fair, with wear to the enamel surround. There is some light dirt to the surround of the split-pearl setting. There is some chipping and loss to the enamel surround. Significant tarnish to the reverse. Scratching to the glass. The personal engraving reads 'In memory of the six infant children of J & A Webber'. The hair within the glass panel is loose and is moving around within the setting.
