A pair of George II silver open salts.

Condition Report

A pair of George II silver open salts, each of plain cauldron form with moulded rim and raised on three stepped hoof feet. Hallmarked David Hennell I, London 1751. Rim diameter measuring 2 1/4 inches (5.7 cm), weight 2.98 ozt (92.67 grams).

Purchasing information
    The salts display general surface wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. General surface marks and scratches, which are heavier to the interior base. Also slight impressions from some of the feet. Hallmarks are quite rubbed and distorted but still mainly legible. Also engraved to the undersides H above I * E.
