Condition Report

An Edwardian silver spirit kettle on stand, the oblong form with oblique gadrooning to rim, lobed corners to the main body and stained wood handle and finial to the slightly domed hinged lid, the stand raised on four cabriole legs with a removable burner and two keys suspended on chains. Hallmarked Mappin & Webb Ltd., Birmingham 1904. Height inclusive of handle and stand measuring 12 1/4 inches (31 cm), gross weight 41.26 ozt (1283 grams).

Purchasing information
    The spirit kettle appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying some expected general tarnishing, wear, surface marks and scratches. A few minor surface dints or bumps. Some heaver tarnishing or staining to the undersides and interior of teapot. Some visible seam lines. Hinged lid appears in good working order. Slight gaps between the stained wood handle and silver mounts. The burner still contains a wick but something has broken off just below the hinge of the lid. Some residue of old polish. Hallmarks are clear and legible including part hallmarks to various parts.
