A German silver coffee pot and cream jug.

Condition Report

A German silver coffee pot and cream jug, each of bellied form having twin opposed cartouche surrounded by floral embossed decoration and scalework, the coffee pot hinged lid with flower finial, the cream jug with stylised serpent handle, both raised upon four shell mounted feet. Both marked 800 alongside the reichsmark of the crescent moon and crown. Maximum height of the coffee pot inclusive of finial measures 5 7/8 inches (15cm), weight 15.6 ozt (488 grams).

Purchasing information
    In fair condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The hinged lid of the coffee pot wobbles and move sideways, the lid does not shut fully flush and the fixture pin sticks out slightly, requires attention. Soft solder repairs visible including around the join of the spout, under the hinge and around the handle on the coffee pot which has caused loss of definition to the decoration. Construction seams visible on the cream jug. Marked 800 alongside the reichsmark of the crescent moon and crown.
