Condition Report

A 1930's three piece silver tea service including a teapot, twin-handled sugar bowl and cream jug, each of plain curved bulbous form, the teapot with ebonised wooden handle and finial. Hallmarked S Blanckensee & Son Ltd., Birmingham 1934. Height of teapot inclusive of finial measures 5 6/8 inches (14.5 cm), weight 38.1 ozt (1186.3 grams).

Purchasing information
    In fair to good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Heavier areas of tarnishing to the sugar bowl and teapot. Construction seams have become visible. Smart water marks to the bases. Maker's marks slightly rubbed but still just legible, other hallmarks clear.
