Condition Report

A late Victorian 15ct gold turquoise and diamond brooch. The turquoise and diamond scrolling floral motif, within a similarly-set crescent, to the knife-edge, off-set bars. Estimated total diamond weight 0.25ct. Length 5.5cms. Weight 7.2gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Base metal pin and later section to reverse for a safety chain, chain deficient.
  • Scratch marks to side of bar.
  • Possible replacement gems.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Varied inclusions, some surface reaching.
  • Turquoise are a light blue through to bluish green hues. Some of the smaller turquoise have small chips.
  • Stamped 15ct to affixed panel to reverse of crescent.
