Purchasing information
The chalice appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying general tarnishing and surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with age and use. Minor surface nicks and dints. Heavier scratches and contact marks to some areas. Repair to foot, which is clearly visible to the underside where a rectangular piece has been applied. Seam line visible to stem and the join between the top of the stem and the knop is very dark, possible repair? Gilding a little faded to the interior. All raised decoration appears in good condition. Slight rubbing to hallmarks but all still clearly legible.
