A George II silver salver.

Description

Condition Report

A George II silver salver, the circular form with raised Rococo border of flowers and foliage to a scrolled edge, the centre with engraved armorial, raised on three scrolled feet further decorated with leaf motifs. Hallmarked London 1758 with maker's mark WI, possibly William Justis. Maximum diameter measuring 13 3/8 inches (34 cm), weight 26.84 ozt (835 grams).

Purchasing information
    The salver displays some tarnishing and general surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with age and use. Some minor surface dints and bumps. Several heavier scratches and contact marks are visible, especially to the plain centre. Significant loss of surface detail to the central engraving and there is some movement in the metal in this area. Hallmarks are clear and legible with some minor rubbing.
