Condition Report

A pair of pearl and diamond earrings. Each designed as a pearl and rose-cut diamond drop, with similarly-designed surmount and rose-cut diamond spacer. Length 3.4cms. Weight 6gms. Pearls untested.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.

  • Likely comprised of components of differing age.

  • Pearls untested for natural origin.
  • Discoloured adhesive can be seen to the pearls and some diamonds.

  • Pearls vary in shape size and appearance, with irregular-shape outlines, whitish to yellowish body-colours, and pinkish overtones, with good to fair lustre. Cracks, peeling and nacre damage can be seen easily to the surfaces.

  • Diamonds vary in appearance.
  • Diamonds bright.

  • Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Cultured pearls in poor or fairly poor condition with some significant and obvious damage.

  • With hinged backs suitable for non-pierced ears.
