An Edwardian 15ct gold split pearl brooch. The oval-shape amethyst, with demantoid garnet quatrefoil and split-pearl halo. Length 2.8cms. Weight 4gms. This piece has the colours commonly associated with the Suffragette movement.

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Amethyst likely replacement.
- Amethyst dislodged in the setting requires attention.
- Amethyst fairly dark well saturated, with fair clarity and light coloured typical inclusions.
- Green gems very bright, well saturated, with good to fair clarity and typical inclusions.
- Split-pearls slightly discoloured creamy-white, with muted to fair lustre.
- Stones in mostly good condition with minor abrasions. some slightly more significant abrasions can be seen to some facet edges, one green gem has a fairly noticeable chip.
