Condition Report

An early 20th century gold, opal and diamond cluster ring. The heart-shape opal cabochon, with old-cut diamond surround. Estimated total diamond weight 0.45ct. Ring size N. Weight 3.6gms.

  • Overall condition good. Some surface scratches, slight discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Band possible replacement.
  • Diamonds relatively bright and well matched.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Small, scattered inclusions.
  • Opal has a fair play of colour, predominently green hues.
  • Opal with significant surface abrasion.
  • Stamped 9ct to band.
