An early 20th century gold, diamond and gem-set brooch. Believed to depict a vari-cut diamond Emperor butterfly, with circular-shape ruby and vari-shape emerald highlights. Estimated total old-cut diamond weight 4.70 to 5.20cts, I-J colour, SI-P1 clarity. Length 7cms. Weight 26.6gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.

- Ruby medium purplish red, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.
