An early 19th century gold split pearl mourning ring. Designed as an oval-shape glazed woven hair panel, to the split pearl surround and graduated split pearls to the shoulders, the reverse with personal engraving. Ring size M. Weight 4.2gms.

The condition of this lot is fair, with surface scratches to the gold, split pearls and glass in keeping with age and some smaller areas of tarnish. The engraving reads 'John Gotthordt Ob 21st Jan 1835, At 67 yrs'.
