Three early 19th century memorial brooches. The largest a rectangular glazed hair panel, with faceted black circular paste surround and a personal inscription to the reverse, the smallest brooch of similar design, the other with a faceted black paste centre. Lengths 1.6 to 3.9cms. Weight 18.7gms.

The condition of this lot is fair, with light signs of wear to the pastes, metal and glass in keeping with age and wear. The inscription to the larger brooch reads 'John Newton Ob 9 March 1832 at 71'.
