Condition Report

A modern set of eleven silver spoons commemorating the Silver Jubilee of Elizabeth II, each terminal engraved verso and depicting the coat of arms for one of the Commonwealth countries, each bowl with an engraved royal cypher and dates, in a fitted red case, hallmarked T M, Sheffield 1977. Together with a cased set of six silver coffee spoons commemorating 1960's hallmarks, each with initialled terminal. Gross weight 13.1 ozt (408.9 grams).

Purchasing information
    In overall good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The Silver Jubilee spoons are each engraved 'Elizabeth II by the Grace of God Queen of.. (name of country)' to the verso of the terminal. Some loss of definition and tarnishing to the coat of arms and interior bowls. The interior lining of the case has an image of each of the coat of arms and the name of the country beneath a royal cypher and 'The Silver Jubilee of Elizabeth II by the Grace of God Our Queen', also a protective cloth to cover the spoons inside, no certificates or booklets present, the hinges on the case do not lock securely. The cased set of six coffee spoons have maker's marks for Travis, Wilson & Co Ltd., various 1960's dates and town marks for each assay office, each terminal has an engraved initial, the lining of the fitted case has illustrations and descriptions of the Silver hallmarks. Hallmarks clear and legible.
