Purchasing information
The tureen & cover appear in good overall condition, displaying some general tarnishing and surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. A few further stained marks. Minor dints and heavier wear to the undersides of the feet. Wobbles very slightly on a flat surface. Some heavier scratches, nicks and contact marks visible, especially to the interior base. Some rubbing and slight loss of surface detail to the armorial and motto. The lid does not sit quite flush to the rim so that a gap is visible and there is slight movement. Hallmarked to the underside and repeated to the interior of the lid, some minor rubbing but still clearly legible. Part later hallmarks to the applied handle but missing date letter. Also with retailer's mark to base for Makepeace London.
