Condition Report

A Victorian silver pedestal sugar basket with swing handle, the panel-sided oval from with wavy edge above floral and scroll embossed decoration, each end panel further embellished with a bird and snake, with a blue glass liner. Hallmarked Martin, Hall & Co (Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall), London 1875. Maximum length measuring 6 inches (15.2 cm), silver weight 7.06 ozt (219.7 grams).

Purchasing information
    The dish is heavily tarnished and would benefit from a clean and polish. Otherwise appearing in good overall condition, displaying general surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with age and use. Hinges to handle appear in good working order. Hallmarks clear and legible. Part hallmarks to handle, partly rubbed. Glass liner is in good condition but not original to the piece.
