Condition Report

A George III silver sauce ladle, of typical form with initialled terminal with engraved flower, hallmarked William Eley, William Fearn & William Chawner, assumed London 1812, length measures 6 1/8 inches (15.5 cm). Together with a pair of George III silver sugar tongs, with engraved zigzag patterns and initialled cartouche, hallmarked George Wintle, assumed London 1791. Gross weight 2.3 ozt (72.4 grams). (2).

Purchasing information
    In good overall condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Minor dent to the heel on the sauce ladle, the terminal is engraved 'I A F?' beneath a flower. The sugar tongs are heavily tarnished would benefit from a clean and polish, the cartouche is engraved 'M D'. Maker's marks slightly rubbed but other hallmarks clear and legible.
