An Edwardian silver christening mug.

Condition Report

An Edwardian silver christening mug, of typical form with bright-cut floral sprigs surrounding a personally engraved cartouche, leading to a 'C' shaped handle, the whole raised upon a circular stepped base. Hallmarked Birmingham 1907, maker's mark partly obscured probably Joseph Gloster Ltd. Height measuring 3 1/2 inches (8.8 cm), weight 3.1 ozt (97.2 grams).

Purchasing information
    In good overall condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Heavier tarnishing around the handle, base and interior. Minor dent to the edge of the base. The cartouche is engraved 'Eric'. Maker's mark partly obscured probably Joseph Gloster Ltd, other hallmarks clear and legible.
