An early 19th century gold, hand painted portrait brooch. Of oval outline, the hand painted panel depicting a portrait of a lady in a black dress and a white bonnet, to the vacant glazed panel to the reverse and floral surround. Length 3.6cms. Weight 16.8gms.

Purchasing information-
The overall condition of the lot is fair, with surface scratches, tarnish and dints to the metal and glass in keeping with general wear. Beneath the glass over the painted panel is some discolouration or dirt patches. The pin is slightly misshapen.
