Description

Condition Report

An Edwardian Belle Epoque platinum, natural pearl and diamond negligee. The old and rose-cut diamond ribbon swags, supporting a pearl and old-cut diamond floral highlight, with similarly-set staggered drops and integral chain. With report 78132-66, dated 4th December 2017, from GCS, stating natural, saltwater. Principal diamond estimated weight 0.85ct, H-I colour, SI clarity. Length of pendant 6.2cms. Length of chain 44cms. Weight 8.8gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good. Some surface scratches and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Chain with some dented and slightly twisted links. Marks to jump ring terminal, indistinct.
  • Please see report for details of the pearls.
  • Diamonds bright and well matched.
  • Principal diamond with light feathers.
  • Estimated total circular and old-cut diamond weight 1.10cts.

  • Individual size and setting of non-principal diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Mostly few, small inclusions, very few surface reaching.
  • Pearls untested for natural origin.
  • Pearls are of-round and semi-baroque, well matched with a creamy white hue. Good lustre, typical small surface blemishes. Slight discolouration to reverse of pearl drop.
