A late Georgian gold diamond and enamel memorial ring. The glazed panel, with old-cut diamond and black enamel surround and sides, to the 'In Memory Of' band. Estimated total diamond weight 1.60cts. Ring size R. Weight 6gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Diamond trefoil shoulders possible repair/alterations, slight soft solder visible to the reverse.
- With personal engraving 'Eliza Taylor 17th Dec 1820 at 67'.
- Diamonds well matched.
- Diamonds bright and lively.
- Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
- Diamonds with small inclusions, some dark inclusions, few have nicks to the surface.
- Black enamel is in fair condition with some abrasion, small chips and minor nibbles to the edges.
- Length of ring head 1.3cms.
- Electronically tests as 15ct gold.
- Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
