Condition Report

A late Georgian emerald and gem-set pendant. The rectangular-shape emerald cross, with openwork scroll surround, suspended from a similarly-designed stylised bow surmount. Length 5.8cms.

  • Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Alterations to the fittings.
  • With surround partially damaged.
  • Minor to moderate discolouration.
  • Gems are set within a closed-back setting, possible foil back.
  • Due to the setting, not all gemstones are identified, with possible colourless gems replacements.
  • Emeralds in fair condition, with surface-reaching fractures.
