Condition Report
A late Georgian gold sapphire single-stone ring. The oval-shape sapphire, with embossed foliate shoulders and grooved band. Estimated dimensions of sapphire 12.1 by 7.5 by 5mms. Ring size L. Weight 6.5gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Band shows evidence of repair/ resize, solder line and pitting marks visible.
- Replacement mount. Possible replacement gem.
- Setting makes sapphire appear dark.
- Sapphire is a medium blue, fairly well saturated, with colour zoning and window effect. Good clarity and typical inclusions.
- Sapphire is in fair condition with some abrasion to the girdle and facet edges, noticeable scratches and nibbles to some of the crown facets.
- Length of ring head 1.6cms.
